Sinharaja rainforest (Sinharaja Forest Reserve is located in southern Sri Lanka (forest Sinharaja rainforest on the map). He’s not as popular among tourists as Yala national Park, but no less interesting, and certainly more unique. It is one of two included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites in Sri Lanka natural reserves (see UNESCO sights in Sri Lanka). Translated from the Sinhala Buddha means “the lion King”.
